Kris Price

Director of Implementation

Kris Price was Carrie Allen's first hire for CIC Captains of Innovation in 2017, where he serves as Director of Implementation. In his role, Kris oversees all client engagements, develops, adapts, and evolves COI's offerings, and manages the COI Implementation group. Prior to his work at COI, Kris was also the Director of Implementation for the ArtScience Prize, also directed by Carrie Allen.

In 2009, Kris Price joined the core administrative staff of the Boston ArtScience Prize, an education NPO/start-up that operated as a free, year-long after-school competition through which high school students develop innovative art and design ideas informed by concepts at the frontiers of modern science. Due to significant interest and demand, during the next five years, the ArtScience Prize program expanded to 22 sites around the world, including cities across the United States, Asia, Europe, and Africa. While Kris helped to run and staff the flagship and R&D lab in Boston, he also worked with the rapidly expanding, now international ArtScience Program program network on all aspects of program implementation and fidelity, including mentor and administrative training, regimented support during program initiation, and ongoing support.

In 2014, the same non-profit opened Le Laboratoire Cambridge, an art and design center for creativity, innovation, and learning that doubled as the new base for the ArtScience Prize’s Home Office, Kris continued to support the maturing ArtScience Prize network –– including running its weeklong Annual Innovation Workshop for dozens of visiting international idea teams –– while tackling local programming of a different nature –– art, culture, and education events that utilize Le Lab’s spaces to present innovation in its various forms to a growing community.
